T-Mobile Launches the Samsung Gravity 2 for $30
Thursday, August 20, 2009
T-Mobile, the nation's fourth-largest carrier, today launched the Samsung Gravity 2, a thinner, upgraded version of the Gravity from late last year. The Bellevue, Wash.-based carrier said the new Gravity 2 has revamped navigation controls and features improvements such as 3G connectivity, A-GPS with TeleNav and a 2.0-megapixel camera.
It still retains a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, microSD card slot, a music player with MP3 and AAC support, stereo Bluetooth and email support.
The struggling wireless carrier has been looking for ways to increase subscribers -- recently signing a deal to sell its postpaid products in RadioShack's more than 4,000 stores nationwide. The Gravity 2 comes in Metallic Pumpkin and Berry Mauve colors and costs $30 with a two-year contract.
